Mike’s Blockbuster Movie Posters

We’ve had those experiences when we’re watching a movie or a TV show and a situation occurs in the storyline that makes us think, “Hey! That happened to me too!” It’s a funny feeling seeing your own life experience play out in a movie or show.

A new movie set to come out will probably have many in the audience relate to it. Post Grad, starring Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls) comes out this Friday and is about a recent college graduate who is forced to move back home, deal with her eccentric family, look for a job, and find a boyfriend.

I think many have found themselves in this situation. They’ve built up a life and reputation in 4 years of college to just return home and have nothing new — except for a degree. Many just don’t know what to do after life in college. This movie is bound to show this and what others typically experience.

I’m excited to watch it to see what the outcome will be in this movie. This may be because I just graduated from college and although I have a pretty set path ahead of me for the next few years, I still have that anxious feeling of what I should be doing after college. Let’s check out the movie poster for Post Grad.

I noticed that it uses the same design technique used in the Labor Pains movie poster seen below:

I wonder if they were both done by the same company or person. Either way, it’s a cool trick on the eyes. I think many buy movie posters from movies they relate to, therefore, that’s why they enjoy it so much. Remember, the movie poster doesn’t exist without the movie. And the love of the movie poster is hard to do without the love of the movie also.
